How It Works

BidMyApp is a live leaderboard where App Store / Play Store rank goes to whoever's paid the most, all-time. There's no algorithm, no editorial pick. Just money, sorted descending.

Listing your app

Paste your App Store or Play Store link into the entry panel, then pay $1 or more to actually enter the board. That payment is what creates your listing, at exactly what you paid. There's no free entry step and no unranked row sitting around beforehand. No account needed, no approval queue.

App Store links are fully automatic — name, icon, developer and rating are pulled live from Apple's own public API the moment you submit.

Play Store links are entered by hand. Google doesn't offer a public API for this the way Apple does, and automated scraping of Play Store pages violates Google's Terms of Service — a real risk we'd rather not carry, especially at scale. So for Android you type the app name, developer, rating and downloads yourself, and upload an icon. Screenshots aren't asked for up front; you're only prompted to upload some (up to 4) if your bid amount is about to take the app to #1 overall, since that's the only case they'd actually be shown anywhere.

Bidding for rank

Every payment is cumulative and permanent. It adds to your app's running total and stays there forever. There's no losing bid, and nothing ever gets refunded to bump someone else back up. Flat $1 floor on every payment, whether it's your opening listing or a later top-up.

Your position on the board is never a stored number. It's just your total, sorted against everyone else's, updated the instant a payment clears.

"Claim rank #N"

Clicking "Claim rank" on any row doesn't pay into that row. That would only raise the bar you'd need to clear yourself. Instead it takes you to the same listing panel everyone uses, with the rank and amount to beat already filled in, waiting for your link.
